Terms of Service
Last updated: January 31, 2026
1. What SaneApps Is
SaneApps is a collection of macOS utilities built by an independent developer. The apps include SaneBar, SaneClip, SaneHosts, SaneClick, and others as released. All source code is available on GitHub under the PolyForm Shield license.
2. How You Get the Software
You can obtain SaneApps software in two ways:
- Build from source — Clone the repository and build it yourself. Free, always.
- Download — Purchase a signed, notarized build for $6.99 per app. This supports continued development.
Purchases are processed by Lemon Squeezy, who acts as the Merchant of Record. Their terms and privacy policy apply to transactions.
3. What You Get
When you purchase a download, you receive a one-time download of a signed, notarized macOS application. There is no subscription. Updates are provided via Sparkle (in-app updater) at no additional cost for the current major version.
4. Refunds
If the software doesn't work on your Mac, contact [email protected] and I'll make it right. I handle refunds on a case-by-case basis through Lemon Squeezy.
5. No Warranty
The software is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. I do my best to keep it working on the latest macOS, but I can't guarantee compatibility with every hardware and software configuration.
6. Your Data
SaneApps collects zero data. No accounts, no analytics, no telemetry, no network calls. Everything stays on your Mac. See the Privacy Policy for details.
7. Source Code License
The source code is licensed under PolyForm Shield 1.0.0. You are free to use, modify, and distribute the source code for any purpose except building a competing product. The PolyForm Shield license governs your use of the source code; these Terms of Service govern your use of the pre-built downloads and the SaneApps websites.
8. Changes
These terms may be updated. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the software after changes constitutes acceptance.
